Resources
Clancy Harrison, Founder of the Food Dignity Movement, has said that "Shame should never be the reason a family goes hungry." To that end, Food Dignity has compiled a Food Access Toolkit helpful to those in Pennsylvania, where the Food Dignity Movement was founded, and nationwide. Congregational leaders can utilize the toolkit to help discover why people might be food insecure and work toward solutions. The free, downloadable toolkit offers many resources to begin (or continue) this important work, including a Food Dignity Action Guide, a list of barriers to food access, conversation starters, a quick guide to major food assistance programs, and more.
