This digital guide can help congregations provide programming and resources that support people’s overall wellness. Created by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), the guide focuses on eight areas that support personal wellness: social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical, environmental, financial, and occupational.



The guide includes several components that help congregations support people’s wellness. For each area of wellness, the guide offers questions for reflection, helpful resources, and a worksheet where individuals can identify actions and needs that will support their wellness. The guide also includes sections on the ways people can improve their wellness through overall balance, support from others, and habits.
